Stephen Jones hat couture

Stephen Jones hat couture 1

Hat couture by Stephen Jones. This first "artist hat" he designed for Dior with paint constructed from sequins/paillettes. Inspired by this piece, I made my own trashion version last year by using a pink colored straw table placement. The paints I made from leftover sating ribbon and cord scraps. That Union Jack fabric strip top hat is on my to-do list next. It will be a no-sew project as the fabric strips can be glued onto a felt hatbase with using textile/leather glue.

  3. Arty. Frankly spoken, your hat could have more dynamic. The attached decorative features are a bit off-placed and I have the impression you tried too hard.
