The all seeing eye - Kenzo Fall 2013

How have I missed the eye catching (hehe) prints of Kenzo Fall 2013 collection. Well, better later than never. The Eye of Providence (or the all-seeing eye of God) is a symbol showing an eye often surrounded by rays of light or a glory and usually enclosed by a triangle. It is sometimes interpreted as representing the eye of God watching over humankind. Imagery of an all-seeing eye can be traced back to Egyptian mythology and the Eye of Horus. This Kenzo collection also has some amazing metallics and classical persian pattern play, but my focus was on the eyes. Maybe because I see so much DIY potential in them. Just imagine plain white shirts decorated with 500 small Sharpie drawn eyes or just one big one stenciled in front. The print can also be appliqued or sewn onto a sweatshirt or skirt. Painted on second hand 90s shoes with chunky heels.

Doing some DIY around this is must for me when I go to Berlin Fashion Week.
