Patchwork knitwear has been on my radar for years now, and I don´t see it going out of style for a while. Free People is still doing it at least. Get similar colored patterned sweaters, about 3-4 pcs. Copy the pattern from one of your old favorite sweaters to an old bed sheet and cut it to pieces. Use them as pattern pieces for the sweaters. Sew together with a serger or a regular straight stitch.
