Way back in sewing school (1999) we did a collection that had a jacket that had detachable back pack shoulder straps sewn inside. Well actually ít was four D-rings that were sewn in the lining, side and shoulder seams. You could hook the shoulder straps into them if you wanted to wear the jacket on your back. I still think it was a cool and very practical idea. And so does Dries Van Noten in his Summer 2010 collection. And like any good DIY idea, it can be implemented to any jacket you might have.
