Hussein Chalayan is using clay hand figures to drape dresses in his SS2010 collection. Hauntingly beautiful. Especially the one on the left. Too bad I don´t know any clay craftsmen who could make one for me.. Photos via Style.com, found at Is Mental.

I know ceramics are hot, but this is curiously creepy - and anyone with a fetish for inanimate fingers clutching at their boobs is seriously scary ... but what a fabulous piece of fashion design art.
ReplyDeleteYou could always cast your own hands! At least here in the States (or online) they sell Life-Cast kits at the craft stores...which have enough mold material and plaster to make a pretty accurate cast of a pair of hands...better on your clothes than on your living room table, which is just creepy.

ReplyDeleteThis is hot!.... and creepy :)
