I seem to have an addiction to sleeves and shoulders... I believe it to be one of the fastest ways to refashion a shirt or dress. This pleat-sleeve sweatshirt I spotted at Pixie Market. The sleeve design is megasimple but very stylish and DIYable. The sleeve is detached and folded vertically. Sew the dart (sleeve will become shorter) and the sleeve back. Fold the sharp shoulder line in the back and sew. This idea works also for knitwear.




This dress by Warehouse has a similar idea, but istead of the dart the sleeve top is folded and pleated. This design requires some fabric, so you can make this only for garments that have large sleeves. (Photos via Fashion Mongers).
