    Oh yeah! I used those exact same plumbing supplies (called couplings and compression nuts) for my Lanvin-style DIY Hardware Necklace I made last year (http://www.chic-steals.com/2009/11/dont-buy-diy-hardware-necklace.html).

    Unfortunately the couplings are superrrrr-heavy! Only one or two might be better for jewelry you're going to wear often, like the bracelet in the above photo.
