Good design does not only look pretty, but it always is multifunctional. Looking up clever design ideas from professional and high street brands and implementing them to your DIY projects and recycle designs is something that I encourage. This gorgeous leather patchwork bag by Diet Butcher Slim Skin is done with several different types of similar colored leather (cut from two or three leather jackets?) but to me the best feature is that it can be worn in three different ways! It has an additional metal chain shoulder strap which ads styling potential and the two shoulder straps on each side and the bags kidney shape enables it to be worn also as a back pack. I´d like to see crafters and recycle bag designers to do more bags with this type of fuctionality!






I also love the shape of this cardigan. And old cardi could be refashioned to similar shape by just cutting it (note the unfinished edges) and lining the neckline and adding patches of t-shirt jersey and buttons to the front hem.
