Stella Jean Summer 2013

I´ve been about mixing styles for years now. To me it´s interesting to take inspiration to a days outfit by combining very different genres of dressing up. This is why I love the new designer promise, Stella Jean. Her Spring 2013 Lookbook is full of African prints, which were cleverly mixed and matched to highlight the bright and bold color schemes that were presented. The Haitian-Italian designer has multicultural heritage to take inspiration from, and does so expertly. Giorgio Armani backs her up. I love the way prints are mixed to the max and hats are worn over scarves. The clothes take shape from the 50´s, layering is mexican inspired, prints african. It is rich mix. If you wanna start with just the accessories, the internet is filled with tutorials on how to make woven chain necklaces and bracelets.
